Ek Baar Hi Sahi Par Bula Ke Toh Dekho

It hasn’t been a long time somewhere roughly around 2-3 months I was sitting on my terrace thinking about my last year. The ups & downs, heartbreaks, and experiences had taught me a few key lessons, one of them is:

“There are only three things to be done with a woman. You can love her, suffer for her, or turn her into literature.”

I choose the third one.

5

Ek baar hi sahi par bula ke toh dekho,
Durr se hi sahi par awaaz laga ke toh dekho.

Yunn toh aaina bhi pehchanta hai mujhe,
Khudko meri aaks mein sajaa ke toh dekho.

Mehfil se uthke sab jaate hai tum bhi chale jaana,
Par ek baar meri aagosh mein aake toh dekho.

Kyun tolte ho mujhe mere rang-o-roop se ‘kirdaar’,
Tum meri mohabbat ko aazma ke toh dekho.

Mujhe Theek Nahi Lagta

Tujhe yuun kisi aur ke saath dekhna mujhe theek nahi lagta,

Mohabbat bewafa hi sahi par uska be-parda hona theek nahi lagta,

Muskuraana gham me humne bhi seekh liya hai unse,

Par unka muskuraate hue aansuon ka bahana theek nahi lagta.

Ye jo kashti phasi hai samundar me iska sawaar nazar nahi aata,

Sahil se takrake leheron ka phir chale jaana theek nahi lagta.

Mausam bahar ke aate hai phir guzar jaate hai,

Par garmiyon me phoolon ka jhulas jaana theek nahi lagta.

Uske maate ki bindi uske kaano ke jhumke ab tumhare naam,

Sambhalna inhe uski khilkariyon ka shant hona theek nahi lagta.

Aankhon Ki Palkon Ka Ye Aansu

The ghazal not only has a specific form but also traditionally deals with variety of subjects and has encountered revolutions over the ages, there was a drastic change in the subjects of ghazal opted by the Poets. The most prominent subject of ghazal even after the end of romantic era of Urdu literature has been love, specifically an unconditional and superior love.

Ghazals from the Indian subcontinent have an influence of Islamic mysticism and the subject of love can usually be interpreted for a higher being or for a mortal beloved. The love is always viewed as something that will complete a human being, and if attained will lift him or her into the ranks of the wise, or will bring satisfaction to the soul of the poet. Traditional ghazal law may or may not have an explicit element of sexual desire in it, and the love may be spiritual. The love may be directed to either a man or a woman.

The ghazal is always written from the point of view of the unrequited lover whose beloved is portrayed as unattainable. Most often, either the beloved has not returned the poet’s love or returns it without sincerity or else the societal circumstances do not allow it. The lover is aware and resigned to this fate but continues loving nonetheless; the lyrical impetus of the poem derives from this tension.

Kirdaar Husain binds different emotions of love into a single GHAZAL. Hope you enjoy it.

Aankhon ki palkon ka ye aansu na jaane kaha kho gaya hai,
Bhara tha jo ghar kal tak aaj khali sa kyu ho gaya hai.

Muddato ke baad toh mili thi mujhe khushiyaan,

Main toh saath chalne ka waada aaj tak nibha raha hu ‘kirdaar’,
Rah-e-ishq me chalte chalte tu kyu bewafa sa ho gaya hai.

*Aaj Phir Apni BadKismati Pe Rona Aaya*

Are you still trying not to cringe, or suffer from another blow when you see his or her photo on your Facebook timeline?

Spot and try to decipher one of their ambiguous tweets? Or worry that you’ll see a new face appear beside theirs, on your Instagram feed?

Do you not count the number of weeks, since that very last day?

Do you not notice how their WhatsApp status blink from last seen to online, to last seen again, when the incessant missing becomes too much to bear?

Do you crash at home on Friday nights, or indulge in the company of your friends, just to give your soul the therapy it needs?

Aaj Phir Apni BadKismati Pe Rona Aaya is a tale of HEART-BREAK which soothes your agony.

Aaj phir apni badkismati pe roona aaya,
Sharab ke nashe me uska chehra yaad aaya.

Yun toh bhula chuka hu mai uski harr ek yaad ko,
Gham ke badalo me uska dard barsaat bann ke samne aaya.

Yun toh khudaai se bhi uncha hota hai rishta pyaar ka,
Phir kyu yaar ki shakal me dushman meri chaukhat pe aaya.

Namaze ada toh mai rab ke liye karta hu,
Sajde me sarr jhukte hi hoothon pe uska naam kyun aaya.

Jo kehna chahta hai ‘kirdaar’ woh bayan karna mushkil hai,
Jazbat asli wahi hai jo hoothon pe alfaz bann ke na aaya.

Mere Yaar Ki Daad Dena Kuch Lafzo Me Munasib Nahi

225247
Beauty? Can any one describe BEAUTY?

NO.

Describing beauty is almost impossible because we perceive it, rather than describing it. If you look at a Rembrandt painting and start to try and describe what the beauty is you see, your words sound absolutely pathetic.
John Lennox

Great poets, philosophers and even for the sake Bollywood lyricist have fallen short of words when it comes to describing the beauty (inner) of their loved ones. Beauty is not a tool to be patronized.

Kirdaar Husain’s small gesture of summoning up the original essence of beauty into a GHAZAL.

Mere yaar ki daad dena kuch lafzo me munasib nahi..
Dekh ke inhe ghamzadah-e-ishq na ho jaao ye mumkin nahi..

Tabassum se inki mehshar bayaan hai,
Hairat-zada karde aisa koi aur husn khuda bana paaya nahi.

Grehan hai suraj-o-chand ko inki zeenat se,
Raunaaq-e-jahann khuda bhi inse khareed paaya nahi.

Mere yaar ki daad dena kuch lafzo me munasib nahi..
Be-qiimat hai ye jism koi mol iska laga paaya nahi..

Jism jaise hai ajanta ki moorat jiss sanche se,
Tarasha woh sancha koi dhund paaya nahi.

Mere yaar ki daad dena kuch lafzo me munasib nahi..
Chehra hai dhoop sa rupala jiska koi bayaan nahi..

Tasawwar bhi yahi hai, tasveer bhi yahi hai,
Noor barasta hai chehre se mehtaab se kamm nahi..

Mere yaar ki daad dena kuch lafzo me munasib nahi..
Absaar hai jaise sharaab ka pyala koi jamm aisa piyaa nahi..

Dekhle ek nazar koi ye surrmai aankhe,
Toh inki qaid se aaj tak koi chutta nahi..

Maine khoo diya hai apna ‘kirdaar’ iss husn me kahi,
Milna iska khuda ko bhi gawaara nahi.

Dil Ki Baat Asaan Shabdo Me Batata Hoon

It was a Monday morning, I wake up and hear this song on radio written by Varun Grover (Film: Masaan).

Tu Kisi Rail Si Guzarti Hai,
Mai Kisi Phul Sa Thartarata Hoon.
(You pass like a train,
and I shiver like a bridge.)

The sher has been borrowed from a ghazal by Dushyant Kumar. The next thing I do is; end up writing this.

Dil ki baat aasaan shabdo me batata hoon,
Meri sabse behtareen ghazal sunata hoon.

Tujhko dekhta rahoon, tujhko sochta rahoon,
Yahi toh bas zindagi bhar karna chahta hoon.

Mai nahi hu Shayar bas Aashiq mamuli sa,
Teri nazron ke dhago se piro ke ghazal banata hoon.

Tu meri chahat ki uljhi sadak hai,
Raahi bann ke bas saath nibhana chahta hoon.

Maine dekha hai jahaan saara teri aankhon me,
Chuupke tere kajal me rehna chahta hoon.

Duniya me sab aate hai har kisi ko koi milta nahi,
Tujhse hu mila toh mai tera hona chahta hoon.

~ Kuch Ankahi Baate ~

Some day, after we have mastered the winds and the waves, the tides and gravity, we will harness the energies of love. And, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.

Kuch Ankahi Baate, Kuch Adhure Waade is a memory which has sinked down to the bottom of our hearts. It talks about emotions which are unsaid but still float in our minds.

Apna koi kahi chutt gaya hai,
Na chahte hue bhi rhut gaya hai,

Harr khushi me kuch kami si hai,
Aankho me aansu nahi, phir bhi nami si hai,

Uski koi majboori toh hongi,
Bata na saka jo, aisi wajah toh hongi,

Do pal aur tehar jaata,
Dubti naav ko ek naya rukh de jaata,

Ehsaas usko kho dene ka aaj bhi hai,
Rok na paaya usse, iska dard aaj bhi hai,

Kahi baith ke woh bhi toh roota honga,
Khoo diya jo pyar usko dhundta honga,

Usko kya meri yaad nahi tadpati?
Raato ko befikr neend kaise hai aati?

Mujhse kahi jyada pyar toh usne kiya tha,
Harr pal mere sang woh bhi toh jeeya tha,

Aksaar ye sawal mere dil me aate hai,
Jawab iska naa mai naa woh dhund paate hai,

Koi jhaak ke dekhe toofan hai uth raha beech samandar,
Daba ke baitha hu iss dard ko apne andar,

Bhula deta hu pyar ko zindagi ki bhag daudh me,
Paya na maine kuch iss pyar me,
Sirf zakhm-e-dil reh gaya hai haath me..

Teri Mohabbat Ne Mujhe Tadpa Tadpa Ke Waasiq Bana Diya

Teri mohabbat ne mujhe tadpa tadpa ke waasiq bana diya,
Tune iss janwar ko ishq me duba ke insaan bana diya,

Mayuusi chaahti hai toh tujhe sochta hu,
Tokar marke tune iss rishtey ko bejaan bana diya..

Maine sajaaye the chand taaro ke sapne gaala ghot,
Ke tune meri ummedo ka kabristaan bana diya..

1428_6c81b1d08883e67c3f871ec9ccc5570f

Zarre zarre pe tera naam likhne ki chahat thi,
Thod ke tune ye dil khaak-e-bistaar bana diya..

Maaf toh tujhe shayad hi kar paunga mai,
Jeeteje tune mujhko zinda laash bana diya..

Khoon ke ye aansu gawa hai meri mohabbat ke,
Thod ke ye marasim tune mere ‘kirdaar’ ko sharamsaar bana diya..

Baras Raha Hai Jo Ishq-e-Haqiqi Hai Ye

Rain has often played a romancing factor in Urdu sher-o-shayari to entwine emptiness and contentment together. Barish or barsaat can be both, love quenching as well as death dealing, subtly links all aspects of life.

Kirdaar Husain’s small effort, emblematizing a multitude of emotions.

Baras raha hai jo ishq-e-haqiqi hai ye,
Paani ki surat me jannat ki sharab hai ye,

Barasti hai garajti hai machalti hai mehekti hai ye,
Yaad mere yaar ki dilaati hai ye..

Naazil kiya hai khuda ne inko mere liye,
Baarish ki buunde nahi; jaise meri mehbooba hai ye..

a-man-walking-in-the-rain-2c39ce95a13135802ec8497fcdd9c618

Geeli inn barsaato me aankh chalakti hai,
Kehti hai hawa saboot-e-wafa hai ye..

Milti hai mitthi me toh apni khusbu chod jaati hai,
Juda hai mujhse meri mohabbat hu-bahu uska ehsaas hai ye..

Dhaalna chahti hai mujhko ye barsaat apne ‘kirdaar’ me,
Janti nahi ki chand minto ki baat hai phir toh aakaal hai ye..

*Hum Chalte Hai*

No matter how much we want things to stay the same, life is all about a change. Sometimes change is for the better, and sometimes its not.

But no matter why things are changing, we need to be able to let go and move on. Whether it’s the death of a loved one, a painful breakup, or a treacherous betrayal, holding onto past, pain and resentment will only hold you back.

Hum Chalte Hai is one such journey which urges you to leave the past and move ahead towards a better tomorrow.

Courage to Walk Away

Isse pehle kiye dil bewafa ho jaaye hum chalte hai,
Khushiyan hamari ghila ban jaaye hum chalte hai,

Duaen hamari barsengi tere chaman me mohabbat bann ke,
Ki ab ye narazgi marasim na bann jaaye hum chalte hai..

Le jaa rahe hai yaado ki paeti me bhar ke armaan,
Kahi ye aarzu ab damm na tod de hum chalte hai..

Ajeeb si chahat paal rakhi hai jazbato ne,
Bawli ye saase ab sath na chod de hum chalte hai..

Aib-posh sa ho gaya hai ye ‘kirdaar’ mera,
Wajud-e-jannat mere pairo se na chinn jaaye hum chalte hai..

Remember, no past can harm you when you are well-seated in the present. Moving ahead is a part of LIFE.
